LISS, previously know as rolling access funding, is designed to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and improve their quality of life by helping them remain in their homes, increase or maintain independence and participate in their communities. Recent changes to funding have left many families with questions about the process. Join us as representatives from Humanim and Penn-Mar talk about LISS. A representative from Service Coordination will also be available to answer questions. Sponsored by the Cedar Lane School PTA. PROJECT ACCESS COLLEGE FAIR

Howard Community College
Project Access at Howard Community College is a program for students with disabilities aimed at helping high school students get into college and succeed there. The college fair offers information sharing by postsecondary disability support service personnel, workshops on relevant topics conducted by experts in their fields and an ongoing assistive technology demonstration of state-of-the-art equipment. Additionally, the Project Access college fair will offer a Career Corner where students can meet with individuals in various careers to learn how they have achieved their professional goals.

EFFECTIVE PRACTICES IN TOILET TRAINING

Toilet training can be an arduous and frustrating task, especially when it involves children with special needs. This workshop will offer research-based methods and tips for developing an effective toileting plan for your child. This workshop is for parents of children (through age 5) receiving early intervention services. Children currently enrolled in a local Infants and Toddlers Program who are found eligible for preschool special education and related services will have the opportunity to continue services through an IFSP, or move to an Individualized Education Program (IEP) by age three.
