  • Maryland State Department of Education MSDE is responsible for monitoring special education programs run through local school systems.  MSDE organizes training and technical assistance to school systems, provides grants, and is responsible for statewide assessments.  A great deal of data can be found on this site.
  • Maryland State Government A portal that provides access to all Maryland State Government websites, including the Governor’s Office, State agencies, and General Assembly.
  • Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) DORS provides employment evaluations and training for individuals with disabilities, a self-employment program, and, along with other organizations, organizes an annual Transition Conference.
  • Governor's Office for Individuals with Disabilities (GOID) This office works with all of the Departments to ensure that the needs of individuals with disabilities are considered in state government policies and programs.  In addition to its policy work, the Office runs several small programs.
  • Programs for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities The Maryland Infants and Toddlers Program coordinates and provides funding for local Infants and Toddlers Programs serving children with disablities and developmental delays ages birth through three.
  • Developmental Disabilities Administration DDA funds services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through a network of for-profit and non-profit providers throughout the state.  Services include: respite care, family support services, day services, and residential services.  DDA trainings are also open to families and self-advocates.
  • HealthChoice/Maryland Medicaid HealthChoice is Maryland’s primary Medicaid program for children and adults who are low income or have a disability.  Children on the Autism Medicaid Waiver must choose a Managed Care Organization (MCO) through the HealthChoice Program.  A searchable list of Medicaid providers can be found on this site.
